Conserve Energy
- Use the heating controls with consideration, closing windows if heating is on and switch off lights when not in use. The energy Saving trust provides information on what you can do at home. http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk
Give the Car a Rest
- Leave the car behind, if only for a day. Walk, cycle or use public transport. We have links to the local bus services which call at New Radnor and Timetables in our Tourist Information folder.
Shop Local
- Support our local shops and try our local products. We are fortunate to have some fantastic producers of food, drink and art and crafts. There are local farmers and WI markets and popular pubs and restaurants, including Michelin Stared. Details can be found in our Tourist information folder.
Reduce,Reuse, recycle
- Try to say no to overly packaged goods and say no to that extra carrier bag. You can support us in our efforts to recycle in the cottages by using the separate bins for cans/plastics and paper. Bottles can be taken to Ten Green Bottles located at Brookside Farm where they are recycled at the studios into stained glass gift. A bin full of bottles will be rewarded with a glass light catcher!!
Be water Wise
- Use water wisely.
Respect nature
- Help us to look after the landscape and wildlife by not littering, guarding against fire and using footpaths and cycle ways responsibly. Ensure you follow the countryside Code. http://www.countrysideaccess.gov.uk
